Briefly Small business start up topic May 16 "Thinking of Starting Your Own Business?" is the topic of a Fresh produce Dominick Meglio and his son Nicholas have opened a produce stand and flower market at the Five Points Shoppers Market on Rt. 1 south of Five Points. Do- minick MegHo, who is shown here watering his flowers, promises only the freshest of produce and nicest of flowers for his patrons. MegHo has worked in the business for over 50 year He is currently carrying lots of azaleas, annuals and fresh produce like strawberries. In coming months, he expects to carry a good selection of wa- termelons, cantaloupes and other farm fresh produce. "If I won't eat it, I won't sell it," he said. course being offered by the Small Business Development Center in Georgetown on Thursday, May 16. Slated for 9 a.m. to noon in the Higher Education Building, the class will cover an assortment of business basics. Discussed will be the needed skills, financial factors and reasons for starting a busi- ness. Roadhouse sets Pavlik Night May 1 The Roadhouse Steak Joint at Midway Shopping Center will ob- serve a night to show their con- cern and support for David Pavlik and his family on Wednesday, May 1. That evening, 10 percent of all sales will be contributed to a special fund in Pavlik's name. Pavlik is the lineman for the Lewes Board of Public Works who was injured in a Feb. 5 acci- dent. Roadhouse personnel noted they want to express their concern for the Pavlik family and this is their way of offering help in their time of trouble. Sussex YMCA offers pool operators course The Sussex Family YMCA will offer a pool operators course on Saturday, May 4, which is recog- nized by the state for certification as an approved pool operator. Pre-registration is necessary by calling 227-8018. Also, the Y will offer lifeguard classes beginning Tuesday, April 29 and Saturday, May 4, as well as lifeguard recertification on Tues- day and Thursday, May 21 and 23. Fran O'Bden's delays season re-opening Fran O'Brien's Beach House, noted for its fine beef and seafood dinners, has delayed its 24th sea- son opening due to construction.
