Canby, Secretary PUBLIC NOTICE PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT POLICY Building Perlnits The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces a public notice to introduce interested persons to a revised policy on public involvement. In response to the federal Intermodal Surface Transportation Effi- ciency Act (ISTEA) of 1991, DELDOT has developed a revised policy. While this has been done in part to Satisfy the requirement of ISTEA, it also provides DelDOT with the opportunity to reaffirm its own commit- ment to further educate the public about transportation issues, services and projects, as well as to solicit information, reach consensus and pro- vide a way for the general public to express their needs, ideas, concerns, and perspectives relating to the transportation system. The proposed policy contains the DelDOT public involvement processes for the Statewide Long Range Transportation Plan, the Capi- tal Program and project development, as well as the process used by the Delaware Transit Corporation for fare/service changes. Copies of the proposed policy will be available at: The DelDOT North District Administration Building on Route 7 in Bear. The DeIDOT Central District Administration Building on Route 13 in Dover behind Winner Ford. The DelDOT South District Administration Building on Route 113 in Georgetown.
