CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, May 1 - May 7, 1998 - 75 Baystar Theater slates auditions for three shows May 11-12 Baystar Production Inc. has put out a casting call for singers, dancers and actors and has sched- uled auditions for 7 p.m. on Mon- day, May 11, and Tuesday, May 12, at Jordan's Rooftop Restau- rant, which is atop the Fenwick Inn at 139th Street and Coastal Highway in Ocean City, Md. Baystar hopes to cast three dif- ferent shows - "Nunsense," "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" and "Let's Twist Again" - which will provide the theatrical fare for the Baystar Dinner Theater in Jor- dan's during the summer and fall. Baystar is looking for both women and men in all the three categories, and in many cases age will not be a factor. Those audi- tioning as dancers should come prepared with a routine and music. Singers who wish to sing a song of their choosing should bring their own sheet music. Actors will be given scripts to read. There is al- ways a need for technical people and people to work backstage in some capacity. Sme f the remaining prints for Selbyville Get ready for a foot-stompin' good time at the 16th annual Springtime Jamboree - two nights of country music and entertain- ment for the benefit of community organizations. The event, organized each year by Sussex County businessman Gerald Hocker, will this year ben- efit the Lower Sussex Pop Warner Football League, which just com- pleted its first season last fail. In years past, the jamboree lias raised money for the Lower Sussex Lit- tle League, and the Seibyville, Fenwick Island and Lord Balti- more Lions Clubs. The jamboree will be held Fri- day and Saturday, May 8 and 9, with performances each night at 7 p.m., at the new Selbyville Middle School, located on Route 17 in Selbyville. Hocker will serve as host, while George Keen will move the show along as master of ceremonies. Comedy will be pro- vided by Scott Evans. Tickets are $8 per person and are available at G & E on Cedar Neck Road, or at Hocker's Deli or Hocker's IGA, both on Route 26 in Clarksville.
