Sea Grille looks forward to 1997 season kick-off Roadhouse helping Shields raise funds The Roadhouse Steak Joint will assist the Shields Elementary com- puter fund drive by donating 10 percent of their daily sales for every Monday through May. The community can help contribute to the fund-raising drive by visit- ing the restaurant any Monday during the month of May. The Roadhouse Steak Joint is located in the Midway Shopping Cen- ter. After a successful first season under new ownership in 1996, the Sea Grille Restaurant is located at the north end of the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk is looking to the kick off of the 1997 season. Owners Rod and June Pettigrew plan to enhance the menu further for the 1997 season. "We are bringing back all our most re- quested menu from last year and adding some new exciting twists to the menu for the 1997 season," said Rod Pettigrew. "The biggest news this season is the elaborate Friday seafood buffet and our fan- tastic Sunday brunch." The new Friday seafood buffet and Sunday brunch buffet kick off on May 2, and a special Mother's Day buffet is planned for Sunday, May 11. June Pettigrew said the Mother's Day Champagne Brunch from I0 a.m. to 2 p.m. will cost $16.95. The Sea Grille serves breakfast and dinner Tuesday to Saturday, and Sunday dinner is served from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Local entertainer Michael Howard will be featured on May 3 and David Brand will also per- form during the season. The Sea Grille is located on the top floor of the Henlopen Hotel in Rehoboth. "The judges were so impressed with Mr. Bennett's work that they couldn't agree which of his entries was the best, so we chose several to publish," she added. "Mr. Ben- nett's photos can be seen sprin- kled throughout the visitor's guide, including aerial views of Rehoboth Beach in summer and the traffic circle in Georgetown, Abbott's Mill Nature Center and a colorful view of the kite festival in Lewes. Thirty-thousand copies of the visitor's guide have been pub- lisbed, and will be used as the pri- mary marketing tool to encourage visitation to Southern Delaware. The third annual photo contest will get underway next fall, so shutterbugs should be on the look- out now for events and images that tell the historical, cultural and natural attractions of Southern Delaware.
