50 - CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, May 19 - May 25, 1995 Corvette show May 28 at Long Neck Crab Barn Nothing seems more American than the automobile and many feel that no auto is more respected or admired than the Chevrolet Corvette. The Crab Barn of Long Neck will begin the summer of 1995 with a salute to this popular American car on Sunday, May 28, from 2-6 p.m. when they join with First State Corvette Club, I.G. Burton and Tangent Productions in inviting all Corvette owners to participate in an attempt to set a record for the greatest number of Corvettes in one location. Arrive early and participate in an afternoon of games and good times with Digital DJ John Clifton featuring prizes from Budweiser, I.G. Burton and Tangent Produc- tions. Tickets are avail- able for the Preliminary night on Friday, June 2, and for the pageant on Saturday, June 3. Both evening events will take place at Rehoboth Beach Conven- tion Hall. Village of the Damned: American remake of the 1960 sci- fi thriller about a bizarre local mishap that precedes the births of a town's many strange, emotion- less children. Stars Christie Al- ley, Meredith Salenger, Christo- pher Reeve, Linda Kozlowski and Mark Hamill. Rated R. Kiss of Death: Crime drama about a thief who agrees to turn state's evidence. Remake of the 1947 Henry Hathaway classic. Stars David Caruso, Nicholas Cage, Helen Hunt, Katherine Erbe and Michael Rappaport. Rated R. 13. Friday: Comedy about the pros and cons of growing up in gang-ridden South Central Los Angelos. Rap music video direc- tor Gary Gray makes his feature directorial debut from a screen- play by Ice Cube and D J Pooh. Stars Cube, Chris Tucker, Bernie Mac, John Witherspoon and Nia Long. Rated R. Circle of Friends: Coming- of-age tale, set in Ireland, about a trio of small-town girls who find romance, friendship and tough choices when they leave their reli- gious homes to attend the Univer- sity of Dublin. Stars Chris O'Donnell, Colin Firth and Min- nie Driver. Rated PG. Don Juan DeMarco: A psy- chiatrist undergoing a midlife cri- sis is assigned to evaluate a young patient who thinks he is Don Juan, the world's greatest lover. The 53-year-old ex-psychiatrist and screenwriter Jeremy Leven makes his feature directorial debut from his own screenplay. Stars Marion Brando, Faye Dunaway, Johnny Depp and Bob Dishy. Rated PG- Anna Hazzard Museum gets ready for season In preparation for the summer season, exhibits at the Rehoboth Beach Historical Society's Anna Hazzard Museum, 17 Christian Street in Rehoboth Beach, are be- ing refurbished and upgraded. Plans are being made to get the- museum open and tended by vol- unteers on a regular basis. Pending the announcement of hours, the museum will welcome visitors on an appointment basis.
