Memorial Day weekend.

Howard this weekend
The Sea Grille will feature en-
tertainment by Dave Brand and
Michael Howard during the
Memorial Day weekend at the
restaurant, located on the eighth
floor of the Henlopen Hotel at the
north end of the Rehoboth Beach
boardwalk. Known as the "ulti-
mate entertainer of variety mu-
sic," Dave Brand will perform Fri-
day, May 23 from 7 to 11 p.m. to
kick off the Sea Grille's Memorial
Day weekend celebration. A first
time performer at the Sea Grille,
Brand's musical and vocal rendi-
tions cover a broad range of
sounds that include rock and roll
of the 50s and 60s, Motown, pop
and Caribbean, Brand will also
appear at the Sea Grille on Thurs-
day, May 29, and Friday, May 30,
as well as other scheduled times
throughout the summer season.
Brand has a popular following
from his performances on the
Eastern Shore, Wilmington and
Atlantic City, where he recently
appeared at Trump Castle.
Singer-songwriter Michael
Howard will perform Saturday,
May 24 from 7 to 11 p.m. and
most other Saturdays at the restau-
rant. Howard's career started in
California in the early 70s when
he was recruited by Dave Mason's
manager. His work took him to
New York City where he collabo-
rated with Wolfman Jack as a pro-
ducer for WNBC radio.
Howard toured as the opening
act for various groups such as Or-
leans in the 80s, and is now
achieving success with the night
club circuit. For more information
about Brand's or Howard's per-
formances, call 227-2551.
