Sarah P. Yingling,
Rehoboth homemaker
Sarah P. Yingling, age 8 l, died
Wednesday, May 21, 1997 at the
University of Maryland Hospital
of complications from an auto ac-
cident.
Mrs. Yingling was a homemak-
er. She was a member of the
Lutheran Church of Our Savior,
Rehoboth Beach. She was also a
member of the Sand Dollars
Group at her church.
She is survived by her husband
of 60 years, Gerald Yingling; a
son, James E., of Rehoboth
Beach; and a daughter; Sara S.
Owen, of Elkin, NC; a sister Mary
K. Byers, of Lakeland, Fla.; five
grandchildren and one great-
grandchild. A memorial service
will be announced at a later date.

clerk, receptionist
Stella A. O'Neill, age 63, of
Wilmington, died Tuesday, May
20, 1997 of a heart attack at home.
Mrs. O'Neill was a clerk for Ca-
reer Exploration program, Wilm-
ington. Prior to that she worked as
a receptionist for Franklin
Builders, Wilmington, for many
years. She is survived by four
sons, Kevin J. of Glen Mills, Pa.,
Brian J. of Rehoboth Beach, John
J. of Wilmington and Michael P.
of St. Johns, Virgin Islands; two
daughters, Ann E. O'Neill of
Wilmington, and Mary H. O'Neill
of Tampa, Fla.; two sisters, Gloria
Gilmer of Eden Prairie, Minn.,
and Ruth Anderson of Absecon,
N.J.; and her former husband,
John M. O'Neill of Rehoboth
Beach; and a granddaughter. A
Mass was held at Immaculate
Heart of Mary Catholic Church,
Wilmington, with burial in St.
Mary's Cemetery, Salem, N.J.
William J. Ellis Jr.,
Lewes carpenter
William J. Ellis Jr., age 81, of
Lewes, died Thursday, May 22,
1997 of respiratory failure at Kent
General Hospital, Dover. Mr. Ellis
was a carpenter with Selbyville
Manufacturing, retiring in 1981.
He was a veteran of World War II,
serving in the U.S. Army from
1941-1945. Mr. Ellis was a mem-
ber of Indian River Tribe #37, Or-
der of Redmen. He is survived by
his wife of 51 years, Rebecca El-
lis; a sister Genevieve Dennis of
Margate, Fla.; several nieces and
nephews. Contributions are sug-
gested to Epworth United
Methodist Church.
