Vlasic Foods, Inc., a subsidiary of the Campbell Soup Company, manufactures a variety of pickle and pepper products at its plant in Millsboro. In addition to the KSI award, Vlasic Foods was presented with a tribute from the House of Repre- sentatives from Rep. George Vlasic Foods, Inc. of Millsboro was recently honored at Kent-Sus- sex Industries' (KSI) fourth An- nual Business and Appreciation and Awards Breakfast. Vlasic was presented with the KSI Partner- ship Award, a prestigious award given to a company that demon- strates dedication and partnership with KSI to provide employment opportunities to people with dis- abilities. KSI president Cliff Crouch, pre- sented the 1997 KSI Partnership Award to Ken Van Schaak, distri- bution manager and Liz Jarvis, customer service representative of Vlasic Foods. "KSI has been working with Vlasic since 1991," said Crouch. "We primarily perform shrink wrapping jobs for them. Over the past couple of years, KSI has grown to consider Vlasic a true partner in the employment of per- sons with disabilities.
