National Trails Day to be observed at Cape State Park
The Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park will sponsor National
Trails Day at Cape Henlopen State Park from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday,
June 7,
Volunteers should sign in at the Fishing Pier Pavilion, where they will
receive project assignments.
The event gives volunteers an olportunitY to con.tribute to the park by
assisting with trail maintenance and clean-up projects.
This year's event will focus on invasive species and will feature a
presentation by Rob Line, Natural Areas Advisory Committee director.
Lunch will be served to all participants following the activity. The
event is open to all age groups.
Recommended supplies include work gloves, pruning tools, hat and
insect repellent.
