Divine destiny topic June 1 for study group The Eastern Shore Science of Mind Study Group will sponsor a workshop, "Visioning: Tuning into Your Divine Destiny," from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, June 1, at Eagle's Landing Recreation Center, Rehoboth Beach. Visioning is a guided meditation which will be led by Linda Anguiano, a licensed Religious Science practitioner. The seminar will be used to reveal insights for the highest good. There is no cost for the seminar. The Science of Mind Study Group will also meet at 7 p.m., June 1 for its bi-weekly service, when Anguiano's talk will be "Sweet Sur- render - You Have Nothing to Lose, Everything to Gain." Lewes Presbyterian to hold rummage sale The Lewes Presbyterian Church, located on Kings Highway in Lewes, will hold a rummage sale on the following times and days: noon to 5 p.m., Wednesday, June 11; noon to 4 p.m., Thursday, June 12; noon to 4 p.m., Friday, June 13 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sat- urday, June 14. Delaware Conference on family violence set The Delaware Ecumenical Council on Children and Families has announced its conference, Faith Communities are Safe Communi- ties, for Friday, June 20, at Kent County Polytech. First State clergy, social service and health professionals are in- vited to gather to discuss ways in which they can work together to respond to the problem of violence in Delaware families. Personnel from the faith and health communities are often the first responders in cases of family violence, so an understanding of this issue is es- sential. The all-day conference will feature several important ses- gions. The keynote speakers are Gerri Redden, executive director of the National Violence Prevention Project in St. Louis, Mo., and Ann Gearhart, director of education for the Synder Foundation for Animals in Baltimore.
