Cape Gazette CAPE LIFE FRIDAY, MAY 30- MONDAY, JUNE 2, 2008 89 LHS to hold fundraising dinner June 12 Forgotten ancestors of Laurel area residents will be revealed in a program on 19th-century family cemeteries in Little Creek and Broad Creek Hundreds as part of a June fundraising dinner hosted by the Laurel Historical Society. The dinner and program are open to the public and will be held at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, June 12, in the Laurel High School cafeteria. My Turn to Cook will cater the dinner, and the slide program will follow a brief business meeting. Doug Breen and Chuck Swift, who initiated the cemetery identifi- cation and transcription project in January, will narrate a power point slide presentation of some of the 80 identified farm cemeteries. Guests will be encouraged.to add any family information to the proj- ect in the interactive meeting. The cost of the event is $20 per person and reservations must be made before Thursday, June 5, by calling 875-2820 or 875-7665. Rehoboth library to offer Sunday hours In response to continued requests 1, the Rehoboth Beach Public Li- brary will open on Sundays for the summer. The Rehoboth library will be open from 1 to 5 p.m., Sundays in addition to its regular hours. Summer hours at the library (which will continue through Aug. 31) are: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday; noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday; noon to 8 p .m., Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Georgetown AARP hosts a Day in St. Michael's The Georgetown chapter of AARP will sponsor A Day in St. Michael's, Md., on Thursday, June 12. The group will depart at 7"30 a.m. from East Market Street and arrive in St. Michael's at 10:45 a.m. The approximate return time will be 7 p.m. The cost is $61 per per- son, which is due May 20.
