Ca.][] Gazette SPORTS & OUTDOORS FRIDAY, MAY 30- MONDAY, JUNE 2, 2008 127 Benbow, Conant repeat winners at ].004asser 5-Miler field of 190 runners and 25 youth runners turned out to kick off the 2008 Seashore Strider Racing Series with the 15th running of the Masser Five- Miler and kids' dashes held at Cape High in Lewes on Sunday, May 25. The five-mile open race went off at the new start time of 7".30 a.m., which also consisted of the USACFRF State 5-Mile Champi- onship. The youth races began shortly after 8:30 a.m. with the 25m diaper dash, the 50m toddler trot and the one-two-and-three- lap races around the bus circle for the older kids. Enos Benbow, a regular at the front of the pack, pulled away at the 3-mile mark in 16:40 to hit the line in 27:45 and win the male championship, while master ace Cindy Conant finished 19th to win the female championship in 32:42. Craig Hetrick grabbed the sixth position and ran 30:09 at six minutes a clip to win the men's masters title, while local Mar- garet Colvin was 60th in 36"36 to win the female masters rifle. RUN FOR DANIELLE 5K - This Saturday morning, May 31, will be the 10th annual Run For Danielle 5K that traditionally starts and finishes at the track stadium at Cape Henlopen High SchooL This year's course (USA Certified) is scheduled to start on the front bus circle and end at the same location after a 7:30 a.m. start. Awards go to the top three f'm- ishers in age groups from 9 and under to 70 and over. Pre-regis- tration will begin at 6 a.m..
