HERSHEY TRACK THIS
SUNDAY - The annual Hershey
Youth track and field program
will begin this Sunday, June 4, at
Cape Henlopen High School with
the Sussex County Champi-
onships. The meet will begin at 2
p.m., while registration will begin
at noon. Youngsters must be be-
tween the ages of 9 and 14 to com-
pete and cannot turn 15 before
Dec. 31 of this year.
Competitors can compete in
three events (at last one running
and one field event).
The meet is free of charge with
the top three finishers in each
event advancing to the state cham-
pionships on Saturday, July 8, at
Lake Forest High School.
UPCOMING RACES - The
Seashore Striders have been asked
to direct the first annual Smyrna
Shamrock Runamuc 5K and 1
mile walk to be held next Satur-
day morning, June 10, beginning
at 8:30 a.m. at the Smyrna Middle
School.
