Baystar schedules auditions for June 17
The Baystar Dinner Theatre will hold auditions Saturday, June 17 at 2
p.m., and Monday, June 19, at 7 p.m., for "South Pacific", the Pulitzer
Prize-winning Rodgers and Hammerstein Broadway musical classic.
The auditions will take place at the Sea Horse Restaurant in Rehohoth
Beach.
"South Pacific" will run at the Baystar Dinner Theatre Aug. 17
through Sept. 21, will be directed by Geoff Thompson of Rehoboth
Beach, and will be produced by Marjorie Eckerd of Dagshoro.
Baystar is looking for many singers, especially men. A fewer number
of women's voices are needed, also a few children. Those planning to
audition should come prepared to sing a number of their choice and
should bring sheet music for the accompanist.
Those who cannot make the scheduled audition dates and those who
are interested in working with "South Pacific" in a technical capacity
should call Thompson, 645-6470, or Eckerd, 732-9214.
All members of the cast and technical crew are compensated through
a royalty contract, with payment based upon a percentage of the house.
Baystar Dinner Theatre, part of the Sea Horse Restaurant, is located
in the Sussex Room, away from the main dining room. For reservations,
call 227-7451.
