Owner Tom Jones said he was eager to expand Irish Eyes as soon as the business moved into the Rehoboth Beach location, and he and partners decided to renovate when the opportunity arose. He said the restaurant has the same size bar but has doubled its seating area, where locals and vis- itors alike can enjoy Irish Eyes' famous crab cakes and its Best in Delaware burgers. "We are one of only twoplaces in Delaware that serves Pabst Blue Ribbon on tap. Locals love it," Jones said of the $1 Blue Rib- bon drafts. He said Irish Eyes has almost every night of the week covered with something to draw in pa- trons. Monday nights turn into a laugh house as comedians visit from New York for comedy night. Wednesday nights a three-man band called The Groove takes center stage, while a disc jockey takes care of entertainment Thurs- day and Friday evenings. Satur- day nights and Sunday afternoons Irish Eyes patrons can enjoy live music. Jones said in the off-season the restaurant will use the big screen television for Thursday's movie night. "There is no other place where you can have a drink and watch a movie," Jones said. Irish Eyes' new expansion has allowed for its owners and man- agers to offer something for everyone; it even serves treats to animal friends. "We even cater to canines," owner Charlene Jones said as she pointed to the dog biscuits and water bowl outside Irish Eyes' store front.
