The White team finished off the Blue Team 15- 13 in the annual event. DAN COOK PHOTOS CAPE SENIOR ALL'STAR IAN STEWART shoots and scores in the 10-9 loss to the upstate Blue team during the 2008 Se- nior Lacrosse All-Star game played Saturday, June 14, at Wesley College in Dover. Cape senior all-star Franc Cook received the Jay Spelicki Memorial Scholarship at the 2008 Delaware Senior Lacrosse All-Star Game Saturday, June 14. Jay Spilecki was a former player at Brandywine High School who was killed in 1997, and his family has kept his love of the game alive by awarding the scholarship to a player who will pursue the dream of playing college lacrosse. Shown (I-r) are Sue Spilecki, Franc Cook, Jay's brother Andrew, and Jay's father, Jerry. The scholarship is $1,000 a year re- newable for four years for a total of :$4,000. Cook will attend Lynchburg College in the fall. Fall ball program accepting registrations The Sussex County Sports Foundation will be hosting its second annual Fall Ball Baseball and Softball Program in Laurel. The program will accept teams from Little Leagues and travel ball teams. Players must be asso- ciated with a team and teams can be formed for this purpose. Doubleheader games will be played every Sunday and each team will get 10 games and championship games will be played. Games will be played at the Laurel Little League Complex in Laurel.
