The theme is "The Lighthouse Adventure: Jesus Lights the Way," a course that teaches students that God sent Jesus, The Light of the World, to guide, rescue, protect and comfort them. Classes are for ages 3 to adult; there willl also be music, crafts and refreshments. A special picinic is set for 4 p.m., Sunday, June 21 to kick off the school, as well as a program on lighthouses. Everyone is invited to attend and transportation is available. For details, call the church office at 227- 3066. 'Isms and schisms' to be explored by UUSD The Rev. Charlie Davis, of the Sugarloaf congregation of Unitarian Universalists in Germantown, Md., will speak on "Isms and schisms with God" at the Sunday, June 21, services of the Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware (UUSD). Davis is visiting as part of the UUSD Guest Minister Series, which features different ministers leading Sunday services while members of the UUSD search for a permanent minister. UUSD meets every Sunday at 10:30 a.m., at Lewes Middle School on Savannah Road. Religious education for children is provided, as well as a nursery for small children. Seaside Jewish Community offers play The Seaside Jewish Community of Rehoboth Beach will present a play based on a true story, "Address Unknown," which reflects the friendship between two people, one German, one Jew, during the 1930s. The play will be performed at 8 p.m., Saturday, June 20, at All Saints' Church Parish Hall, 18 Olive Ave., Rehoboth Beach, preceded by an evening service at 7 p.m., with a beverage and dessert bar to follow the play. Written by Kressman Taylor and printed in its entirety by "Reader's Digest," originally in 1939, it was released by Columbia Pictures in 1944. The play is adapted and produced by Dave Palmer, directed by Ferdi Perrone and stars Dick Pack and Bill Rable; all have appeared in Cape Region productions. 'One Church, One Family' training session slated "One Church, One Family" will-conduct a training session from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, June 20, at Delaware Tech in Georgetown. The session, to be made up of a series of panels, will incude Ray Clatworthy, president of the "One Church, One lamily '' board; Takia Bakaire from ' Children and Families First; Carrie Wanzer from The Salvation Army; Barry Arrylot from Maxim; and Karen Peduilla from Delaware Tech. The focus will be on families that are on welfare and transferring to the work force in Delaware, called "Better Chance." The participants are seeking 100 volunteers to go back to their respective churches and begin a program. Trained volunteers will begin mentoring committees in their own church - teaching clients to keep a job; working with clients who have disabilities; and helping them comply with the law. Epworth Space Mission Bible Camp open to all All children ages 3 through grade six are invited to join the Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday, June 22-26, at Epworth United Methodist Church, 20 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach. The theme is "Space Mission Bible Camp," and they will offer Bible stories, games, crafts, music, a video and munchies, said Amy Yarnall, Epworth's minister of programs. Each day will end with a worship time and they will also undertake a special space mission project, creating school supply kits for the United Methodist Committee on Relief. The program is flee; donations will be accepted to help defray the cost of the program, which is limited to 150 children. Anyone interested in having their child register should call 227-7743.
