Huling Cove CHEER sets variety of July activities
The Huling Cove Senior
CHEER Center has announced its
schedule of activities and events
during the month of July:
Bridge - Tuesdays and Thurs-
days in July, beginning at 12:30
p.m. at the center. All bridge play-
ers are welcome to enjoy lunch at
noon. Free.
Blood sugar and blood pres-
sure screening, Tuesday, July 1
from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Dona-
tion of $1 for blood sugar; blood
pressure is free.
Independence Day Party -
Wednesday, July 2. Meet at the
Huling Cove Center at 10:30 a.m.
for prizes, fun, food and entertain-
ment. The public is welcome; red,
white and blue attire encouraged.
Dover Downs trip - Wednes-
day, July 9. Meet at the center at
10 a.m. The cost of $3.50 covers
transportation, all-you-can-eat
buffet, five scratch-off tickets, an
instant winner ticket, and mem-
bership in Blue Diamond Club.

"Diabetes Day to Day," Lec-
ture by Priscilla Doherty, Certi-
fied Diabetes Educator, Friday,
July 11 at 10:30 a.m. The public is
invited to attend this free presen-
tation.
Longwood Gardens trip -
Tuesday, July 15. The cost of $18
includes transportation, admission
to Longwood Gardens, driver's
gratuity. Enjoy lunch at the center
first, then board the bus. To re-

Wednesday, July 16. The bus
leaves the center at 10 a.m. The

lecture and to participate in free
blood "pressure screening after-
ward.
Band and Dinner - Saturday,
July 19. The band will perform on
the front lawn of the center for the
nutrition program fund-raiser. The
center opens at 4:30 p.m. and
sandwiches, platters, sundaes and
drinks will be available from 5 to
7 p.m. The band begins at 6:30

Senior Single,Sociables meet in Cape Region
The Huling Coxe Senior
CHEER Center has announced its
schedule of events and activities
for 'Senior Singles Sociables' this
month. They are:
Shrimp Night - held Friday,
June 20 and June 27 at the Ameri-
can Legion Post 28 on Route 24 in
Millsboro, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Entertainment will also be provid-

Pot Luck Dinner - Sunday,
June 22 at Marge'.s at 2 p.m..
Bring a covered dish. The public
is welcome to attend but should
call 645-9616 to confirm.
Smith Island Tour - Tuesday,
June 24. Meet at Huling Cove at
8:30 a.m. Cost of $37 includes
transportation, cruise; a tour of the
island, all-you-can-eat buffet and
driver's gratuity. The public is in-

"Bowling After Lunch At Hul-
ing Cove," - Wednesday, June 25.
Meet at Huling Cove at 11:30.
Bowling is at Midway Bowl. The
cost is $1 for shoe rental and $1
per game. The public is invited to
attend. No bowling experience is

Glen Gray Big Band at
Children's art classes available at RAL
The Rehoboth Art League will offer children's art classes this sum-
mer, with activities including painting, collages, pop-ups, print-making,
clay, drawing, weaving, puppets, and more. Classes begin June 23 and
run through Aug. 8. The cost is $40 per week for members and $50 per
week for non-members. Classes are held Mondays, Wednesdays and
Fridays. Classes for 5-8 year-olds meet from 9:30 to 10:30 a,m., and
classes for 9-12 year-olds meet from 10:45 to noon. Call 227-8408.
