26 - CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, June 24 - June 2.7, 2005 Kudos to Cape high class of 2015! On Friday, June I0, I spent a delightful part of the morning watching the Shields Elementary School second grade production of "Bugz". The second graders acted like seasoned professionals. They performed with enthusiasm, sang their catchy, tuneful songs with gusto; in addition, their behavior was exemplary. I have seen Broadway shows that haven't thrilled me as much as watching these wonderful children perform. I want to commend the teach- ers, principal and parents who worked with the children to ler- feet their aet, fashion their imagi- native costumes and create the Bugz program. To the army of ants, the beautiful butterflies, the delightful fireflies and lady bugs, the trod-upon stinkbug and all of the other creatures that per- formed, thank you for a job very well done. You left the audience wanting more. I must also mention the "upper class peers" who sat and watched with rapt attention. To hold the interest of an audience of older students who were sitting on the floor of a hot cafeteria was an ac- complishment. The children of Shields are all very special and the second graders are TERRIF- IC! I hope to be able to applaud you a!l again when you are the proud graduates of the Cape Hen- lopen Class of 2015 ! ! Delighted Grandma of a Shields 2nd grader, Barbara Ruhe Rehoboth Beach Thanks to good Samaritan in Rehoboth My family and I moved to the Denver metro area in 2002 from Alexandria, Va. For more than 10 years now, it has become a family tradition to visit Rehoboth Beach, and our move to Colorado did not stop this tradition. We just love Rehoboth. We were at Rehoboth from June 10 through June 13. While sitting on a bench eating Dippin' Dots ice cream on the night of June 12, my 17-year-old daugh- ter's wallet was picked from her purse. (We believe this was the time it was taken because she paid for the ice cream and that was the last time she saw her wallet.) She did not notice her wallet missing until the next day as we checked out from our hotel. We thought she just misplaced it and we would find it in one of our suitcases, so we informed the ho- tel to keep a look out for it. After a big search of our luggage (we had four big suitcases because we stayed in Washington the rest of Continued on page 28 No Money Down Construction Financinq We'll cover your closing costs and possibly your new furniture too.
