il III- Woertz earns academic honors at Wingate Josh Woertz, of Lewes, has been named to the dean's list at Wingate University, Wingate, N.C., for the spring semester. Students must have a GPA of 3.30 or at least 12 quality point aca- demic hours with no grade below a C to qualify for the dean's list. Woertz is the son of Betty Woertz of Lewes. Campbell to dean's list at Virginia Tech Robert Campbell, of Rehoboth Beach, a freshman majoring in political science, was named to the dean's list for the spring semester. To qualify for the dean's list, students must attempt at least 12 credit hours graded on the A-F option and earn a 3.4 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the semester. Virginia Tech enrolls more than 28,000 full- and part-time under- graduate and graduate students from all 50 states and more than 100 countries in 180 academic degree programs. Hithens to dean's list at Radford College Elizabeth Hitchens of Lewes has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Radford Colege, Radford, Va. Hitchens, of Coventry Drive, is a senior media studies major. To be named to the dean's list, a student must have taken 15 or more credit hours and have a grade .point average of 3.4 or above. Duncan Mcllvaine graduates with honors Duncan Mcllvaine, the son of Doug and Barbara Mcllvaine of Gravel Hill, graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maryland's School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation in College Park, Md. At the ceremony, he received the honor of being the first undergrad- uate student speaker ever chosen to represent his fellow classmates at a College of Architecture grad- uation ceremony. He was awarded the Architecture Faculty Award for academic excellence and the Architecture FacUlty award for excellence in design, and was offered a fellowship at the univer- sity to pursue his graduate studies. McUvain is a 2001 graduate of Sussex Central High School in Georgetown. Pierce earns dean's list honors at Bridgewater Meredith Pierce, of Millsboro, was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Bridgewater College, Bridgewater, Pa.
