He was born June 20, 1944, in Baltimore, Md., son of the late Emmitt Louis and Myrtle Marie (Sommers) Richards. Ron loved the beach, garden- ing and antiques. He enjoyed his many friends and a good martini. He is survived by his partner and best friend of 10 years, Ed Shipley; his sister and best friend, Gail Richards-Cabelly; his brother-in-law, Robert Cabelly; many dear friends; and his faith- ful pup, Mac. All services are private. Margaret Henriksen, devoted mother Margaret 1L "Marge" Heurik- sen, 93, of Lewes, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Renaissance Healthcare in Millsboro. She was born Jan. 25,-1915, in Oak Park, IlL daughter of the late Ernest and Grace Marion (Peter- son) Stoneman- Mrs. Henriksen and her late husband of 67 years met and married in Chicago, Ill. After high school, Marge attended busi- ness school and then worked as head cashier for Mont- gomery Ward Margaret Heksen until she start- ed her family. The Henriksens raised their chil- dren in Westfield, N.J. Marge was devoted to her family. She served as a Cub Scout den moth- er, and was active in her church. Marge loved music and played the piano. While living both m Chicago and New Jersey she was a soloist in her church choirs. She was al- so treasurer of her church women's circle. In 1989 the Hen- riksens relocated to Lewes and enjoyed their retirement years at the beach where they were members of the Lewes Yacht Club, the Lewes Historical Soci- ety and Bethel United Methodist Churcl Marge was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Henriksen Jr. (2004) and by her son, William Robert Henriksen m (1983). She is survived by her son, the Hon- John E. Henriksen and his wife Virginia of Lewes; her daughter, Margaret H. Maull and her husband H. Edward Maull Jr. of Lewes; and four grandchil- dren, Karen E. MaulL Carolyn T. Maull, Christina H. Maull and John C. Henriksen. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lewes Historical Society Endowment Fund, 110 Shipcarpenter St., Lewes, DE 19958, to the Lewes Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 225, Lewes, DE 19958, or to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Mil- ford, DE 19963. All services are private. Shmn 'Doe Dou#erty, avid Red Sox fan Shawn R. "Doc" Dougherty, 44, of Dover, passed away suddenly at home Wednesday, June 18, 2008. Shaw Was born Dec. 5,1963, in Pawtucket, 1LL son of Leesona F. Dougherty and William L. Dougherty. He loved life and lived it to the fullest during his short life. He had a big heart and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends most of all, followed closely by riding Harleys with his best friend, Larry Solomon. Shawn was a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan and could often be found watching games with his morn, Lee. Shawn is survived by his par- ents, both of Dover. He also leaves to mourn his loss his sister and brother-in-law, Kelly and Carl Meats of Milford; his sister, Erin Sebastian of Dover;, and his sister, Meghan Brooks of Milton. Shawn will also be missed im- mensely by his nephew and his wife, Mark and Tobi Schafer of Dover;, his nieces, Ashley Meats of Milford, Emily and Tori Sebas- tian of Dover and Ava Kaser of Milton; and his great-nephew, Trent "Cliff" Schafer of Dover. Lastly, Shawn leaves behind a group of lifelong friends, most importantly Larry and Denise Solomon of Frederica, whose love and support helped him through some of the most chal- lenging times of his life. His fam- ily thanks them for their unwa- vering devotion to their son and brother. (Dottie) Smith, of Milton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 18, 2008, in Bayhealth at Milford Memorial Hospital Dottie was born in Webster Springs, WNa., on Feb. 1, 1936, daughter of the late Price and Ed- na (Oldaker) Brady. .Dottie was a founder of West Virginia University Hospital Inc. and remained in her position at WVU Hospital until becoming disabled with lung cancer in 1985, a cancer of which she was a 23- year survivor. Dottie was a member of the Milford Senior Center Bodacious Red Hats Society. She attended the Milford Church of the Nazarene and also the Sunday night prayer and worship services at Cedar Neck Church.
