CAPE GAZETYE, Friday, July3 - July 9, 1998 - 89 40th annual Lewes Antique Show to feature many dealers July 9-11 The 40th annual Lewes Antique Show and Sale, sponsored by Bethel United Methodist Church, will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the church, located at Fourth and Market streets in Lewes, July 9-11. The show will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday and Friday, July 9 and 10, and from 11 Introducing Lite Fare Bar Menu Plus Late Night Happy Hour l O-til? 31 Robinson Drive 8 Route One Rehoboth Beach 22 7-31 O0 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, July 11. There will be 23 dealers from Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware, who wili be selling items ranging from dolls and jewelry, silver and glass- ware to t"urniture. There will be decorator and collector's items, as well as a curiosity shop, with something for everyone. There will also be special semi- nars held during the show. At 2 p.m., Thursday, July 9, an infor- mal discussion on collecting an- tiques and architecturals for fun and investment will be presented by Gayle and Richard Miessner of Recherch6 Studio, New Preston, Conn., and Lewes. Friday's 2 p.m. show features "Care and Feeding of Silver," presented by Iris Brock of Antiques and Interiors of Lewes and Dealer Associate of Jaiihouse Art and Antiques in Milton. Also on Friday, at 3:15 p.m., Keith A. Miller of M&M Furni- ture Restorers will present "Hoosier Cabinets." Finally, at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Millie Ped- ersen of Josephine Keir Ltd. of Lewes and Salisbury will present a discussion of village rugs in the marketplace, with special empha- sis on Turkish rugs. The hall is air conditioned and accessible to people with disabili- ties. Lunch will be available for purchase. Admission to the show is $3 per person. For more information, call 645- 9426.
