CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, July 3 - July 9, 1998 - 99 Beanie Babies, Sports C;00rds &amp; Collectibles Show set for Rehoboth Lots of cuddly, floppy, furry creatures - Beanie Babies rM, that is - plus sports collectibles and some of the other top collectibles will be invading Rehoboth Beach Sunday, July 12, for the Rehoboth Beach Beanie Baby, Sports Card & Collectibles Show. The show will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday, July 12, at the Rehoboth Beach Conven- tion Center, 229 Rehoboth Ave. The show will feature many vendors of many hot collectibles from current popular Beanie Ba- bies and some that have been re- tired. Also available will be Beanie supplies and accessories, including clothing. There will also be plenty of sports memorabilia, including both new and vintage baseball and football cards. Items from favorite teams, in- cluding the Orioles, Flyers, Phillies and Redskins, will be on display and for sale. "Best Seafood at the Beach" The following movies are now playing in the resort area: Armageddon - An asteriod the size of Texas is expected to hit earth and it's up to Ben Affleck, Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thor- ton to save us. Directed by Michael Bay, the long-awaited summer movie also features Liv Tyler as Affleck's love interest. Rated PG- 13. I Went Down - A couple of down-and-out Irish thugs get caught up in a turf war and find themselves in a dangerous, violent mix. Rated R. Out of Sight - Convict George Clooney gets down-and- dirty with G-girl Jennifer Lopez in this adaptation of an Elmore Leonard book. Rated R. Doctor Dolittle - For those who never tire of movies in which animals have more lines than hu- mans, "Doctor Dolittle" stars Ed- die Murphy in the lead role as a storybook doctor who discovers he can talk to animals. Several other funny and furry principal characters are also featured. Rat- ed PG-13. Mulau - The latest Disney an- imated feature about Mulan, a Chinese girl who answers her ail- ing father's draft notice and be- comes a warrior against the Hun hordes. Rated G. The X-Files: Fight the Future - Mulder and Scully bring their TV roles to the big screen, taking "The Truth's Out There" to a new level. The top-secret FBI plot also includes Martin Landau, Blythe Danner and Armin Mueller-Stahl. Check out the Web site at <www.foxmovies.com>. Rated PG-13. Can't Hardly Wait - Jennifer Love Hewitt, of "Party of Five" fame, is a teen heartthrob and its Beanie Babies rM and other collectibles will be offered for sale at Rehoboth Beach Convention Center Sunday, July 12. Toys and other collectibles will also be featured, such as hot wheels and more. There will also be two door prizes given away every hour, in- cluding a grand prize of Erin the Bear, currently worth about $100. the high school party-of-a-life- time. Before dawn, there will be many secrets exposed and many a heart broken. Features Lauren Ambrose. Rated PG- 13. Six Days, Seven Nights - Anne Heche is a big-time maga- zine editor who hires pilot Harri- son Ford to take her in pursuit of a giant scoop. Her plans are foiled when a crash and an ensuing ro- mance get in the way. Rated R. A Perfect Murder - A re- make of Hitchcock's classic, "Di- al M for Murder," this version fea- tures Michael Douglas as a hus- band who arranges for the murder of his wife (Gwyneth Paltrow). Rated R. The Truman Show - Touted as the "Forrest Gump" of '98, "The Truman Show" stars Jim Carrey as the title character, who is the unwitting subject of a televi- sion documentary that catches every aspect of his life. Rated PG. Admission to the show is $3 and will include chances at the hourly door prizes. Children 11 and un- der are admitted free. Short hitters will have to hit between two fairway bunkers, while the long hitters taking it over the bunkers, must contend with the pond down the left hand side. The second shot will be played with a long iron or a fairway wood to the smallest green on the course. The green is well protected by a bunker and water on the left side.
