Deadline for submitting entry: August 9, 2000 Nominations accepted for cottage awards The Rehoboth Beach Town and Cottage Awards Committee is now accepting nominations from community members to recognize and encourage residential and commercial property owners who contribute to the charm, beauty and ambiance of Rehoboth through their renovation, restora- tion and design efforts. Awards will be given to residential and property owners who are nomi- nated in one of three primary cat- egories: residential, commercial and landscape; with each divided into subcategories of preserva- tion, xestoration/renovation and new construction. Any individual may nominate a property; it is not necessary to be a resident or a property owner of Rehoboth Beach. Eligible proper- ties include those located between the southern entrance of Cape Henlopen State Park and the south shore of Silver Lake and east of Route 1. Work on the prop- erty must have taken place within the last five years. Those wishing to nominate a property may use the form printed here or may pick up a form at the Rehoboth Beach Main Street office, or the Re- hoboth Beach Pharmacy, Re- hoboth Avenue. Color photo- graphs supporting the nomina- tions should accompany the nom- ination form. Completed forms and photos should be mailed to: Town and Cottage Awards, 49 Surf Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971. Winners will be announced Aug. 19 and will be given a com- memorative plaque suitable for display on the exterior of the award-winning property. There will also be a random drawing from award winners and nomina- tors for dining certificates from local restaurants.
