Edward Jones offers satellite broadcast for women July 18 Anthony Egeln, Edward Jones investment representative in Lewes, will host a broadcast titled "The Power of Investing-Creating Wealth Through Diligence and Know-how," at 7:30 p.m., July 18, at the New Devon Inn, 142 Second Street, Lewes. The broadcast is available via the firm's private satellite net- work. "We're pleased to offer part two in the series 'Winning Strategies for Women,' which is about creat- ing wealth and a secure financial future," Egeln said. "The series was created to provide women with quality financial informa- tion." 'The Power of Investing' exam- ines how to select stocks and build a successful stock portfolio, how to tap into growth trends in today;s economy, how to lessen risk in one's financial portfolio and how to create a reliable stream of income after retirement. Featured guests include Gall Buckner, senior vice president and senior investment marketing officer of Putnam Investments and a well-known national televi- sion anchor with CNBC, NBC and the Fox News Channel; and Katie Warne, an Edward Jones an- alyst who follows the energy in- dustry. Denston, Ferguson achieve consultant status Chesapeake Utilities Corporation announced this week that Greg Denston, commercial-industrial sales representatives for the southern division, and Jim Ferguson, commercial-industrial sales representative for the northern region, have successfully completed level three of the Registered Commercial Gas Consultant program. The program is sponsored by the American Gas Association and held recently in Chicago. Denston has been with the company since 1978 and his service area covers the southern half of the Delmarva Peninsula, including Sussex County and Dorchester County, Md. Ferguson, an employee of Chesapeake since 1997, is responsible for the northern division, including Kent County and Talbot County, Md. The purpose of the program is to provide comprehensive training for commercial gas marketing representatives. The three-level program focuses on the commercial gas market in- cluding restaurants, hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living facili- ties.
