64 - CAPE GAZETTE - Friday, July 21 - Monday, July 24, 2006 Lewes businesses pitch in for park The Lewes Canalfront Park (LCP) Business Committee has worked hard over the past couple of months to boost dona- tions for the cause. Through the committee's efforts, thou- sands of dollars have been raised to further construction of the park in the center of the town. "We appreciate everyone's faith in this project and their willingness to support it with their financial contributions," said Bob Slavin, chairman of the committee. Folk artists to visit Kitty's Ltd. for signing event July 22 Mary Myers and D. Scott Ennis will appear from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, July 22, at Kitty's Ltd. in Millsboro. Myers designs, carves and paints nutcrackers and other sea- sonal and holiday pieces. Her work has been featured in "Early American Life." "Country Living," "Home and Coastal Living" and "Country Home." She will be demonstrating her craft and bringing her latest cre- ations for fall and winter. Ennis, a native of Delaware, will bring his most recently designed fabric creations for the upcoming season. Ennis uses vintage and aged fabrics. He has been featured in "Delaware Today."
