Lewes Farmers
Market fo!ds
temporarily
The Farmer's Market on Route
One, Lewes, is closing its doors
temporarily after Sunday, Aug.
21.
According to Butte Gallo, one
of the developers of the market
which opened last fall, "The mar-
ket had intended to remain open
year round, but due to the lack of
community support for the new
shopping concept, the market will
be closed for the fall and winter.
Unfortunately, approximately 75
to 100 year round jobs will be lost
due to the closing, but the market
will reopen in the spring with a
new look. We have ideas that we
will be working on over the win-
ter."
From now through Aug. 21,
everything from gourmet pack-
aged food, athletic shoes, jun.ior
clothing and accessories, cards
and gift wrap, jewelry and CDs to
computerized photo gifts, candles,
socks, ties, meats and produce
will be sold at cost or below.
The Chef's Choice Gourmet
will continue its catering and gift
basket services and can be
reached at 226-2126; The Market
Bakery, Delaware Sub Shop, Ele-
ments Clothing and Details Col-
lectibles will accept all business at
their Rehoboth locations, while
PretzeLand will re-open in a new
location in the near future.

isting businesses can be made at
