County gives preliminary site approval to Oyster Rocks II By Karl Chalabala Little fanfare, pro or con, greet- ed the preliminary site plan appli- cation of Oyster Rocks H during the public hearings of the Sussex County Planning and Zoning Commission July 17. Neither did the new 32-unit subdivision suffer a lengthy wait for approval. The Planning and Zoning Commis- sion, during the July 24 meeting, granted approval after a sole week of deferral. The property is cur- rently zoned agricultural-residen- tial, thus needing no zoning change. To be located on Oyster Rocks Road, also known as Sus- sex 264, the subdivision was for- merly the Theodore Richards Farm. During the public hearing, presented by Ramesh Batta - site engineer - the only major concern revolved around a family ceme- tery located on the property. "There is a family cemetery there," Batta said. "Those who wish to come visit will not have any problems.
