"I see the best part of my client and dream dreams bigger than they could have imagined for themselves" Johnson said. Life coaching, found primary in metropolitan areas, is now making its way into smaller towns and ad- dresses present and future issues in a person's life as opposed to therapy, which works to heal past problems. Johnson said life coaching could accompany therapy or stand alone. "I had to learn how to keep my own life in balance and focus on the positive," she said. "Now, my mission is to help others find what they want out of life." Johnson coaches most of her clients over the phone during con- sultations that last 45 minutes to an hour. Johnson said she believes everyone deserves to be encour- aged; she finds support from her own life coach. "Most life coach- es have their own coaches," she said. 'q'here is a coach synergy that is efficient and gets things done more quickly. Two heads truly are better than one." Besides motivating her clients, Johnson said she helps people find ways to achieve small goals that lead to the big goal. "I give my clients goals to man- age during the week and hold them accountable for these tasks." Johnson said she is excited to coach in this area. "I moved here to keep on a path of balance," she said. "The beach gives people a relaxed feeling. I help people get to the inner beach." Johnson said achieving life goals means letting go of perfec- tionism and taking time to care for oneself. "Staying balanced is making sure you have time for the little things," she said.
