76 - CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, Aug. 8 - Aug. 14, 2003 Indian Mission to host worship services The Indian Mission United Methodist Church in Millsboro will hold informal worship services'at 6 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 10 and 24, at the Nanticoke Indian Museum Village. These services, each about 30 to 45 minutes long, will feature native readings and stories, prayers and centering and will be led by church leaders. Each ser- vice will close with a circle friendship dance. Participants should bring a folding chair and insect repellent. Dioceses host joint event in Oak Orchard Bishop Michael Saltarelli and the Wilmington Solidarity Com- mittee will sponsor an event to strengthen the partnership between the Diocese of Wilmington and the San Marcos Diocese, at noon, Sunday, Aug. 24, at Mary, Mother of Peace Church, Oak Orchard. LRAC to host music, poetry and worship event The Lewes-Rehoboth Association of Churches will sponsor an Evening of Music, Poetry and Worship from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 10, at its Dewey Beach outreach center, AWOL (Another Way of Life), located at tH'e Southwinds Motel on Route 1 and McKinley Street. Sea Sunday set for Sept. 21 in Wilmington Delaware's annual Sea Sunday, coordinated by the Seamen's Center of Wilmington Inc., will be celebrated from 3 to 6 p.m., Sept. 21, at the center. The observance will also take place at local religious communities and at the Port of Wilmington. Begun sever- al years ago in the United Kingdom, Sea Sunday continues to be a major event worldwide. During Sea Sunday observances, the com- munity offers thanks and prayers for seafarers, whose lifestyle often means long separations from homes and families. More than 10,000 seafarers visit ports in the state of Delaware each year and most play a vital role in international trade. There will be an ecumenical ser- vice, followed by refreshments, an open house at the Seamen's Cen- ter and tours of the port.
