Now, with summer in full swing, the establishment is proud to present the Waterfront Arts Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sun- day, Aug. 30. The annum event draws locals and visitors alike to the inviting restaurant to enjoy a bevy of creative i activities. In the morning, enjoy face painting and T-shirt painting with fish. From 1-3 p.m., participants can enter the children's art competition for prizes. In addition, paintings and exhibits by members of the Cape Artists will be on display during the day- long festival. A free performance of "Robin Hood" by the Rehoboth Summer Children's Theater will be staged at 4 p.m. Lighthouse chef and proprietor, Paul Buchness, will also display seafood grilling techniques throughout the day. You'll be glad you made the choice to spend the day on the historic waterfront at the Lighthouse Restaurant for the Waterfront Arts Festival. Meanwhile, the Lighthouse continues to serve up some of the finest cuisine that the area has to offer. Breakfast, lunch and dinner specialties abound on the comprehensive and diverse menu. For lunch, enjoy a diverse selection of sandwich- es, including grilled tuna, or one of the many salads on the menu. Or, come back for dinner, when you'll want to treat your family to appetizers, salads, fla- vorful pastas, marinated tuna steaks and roast ten- derloin in a mushroom-cahernet demi-glaze. Soak up some rays on the Lighthouse deck where you'll also want to sample menu items from the grill. Specially seasoned hamburgers and hot dogs, succulent and saucy barbecued ribs and mari- nated, grilled tuna sandwiches are among the offer- ings. Famous for its 4-7 p.m. happy hour, the Draw- bridge Bar is a local's favorite. Draft beer is just 95 cents every weekday, while burgers are $2 on Mon- days and a dozen wings are $2 on Tuesdays. Other specials include a fried shrimp combo of shrimp and clam strips on Wednesdays, steamed mussels on Thursdays and 25-cent tacos with DJ Captain Joe on Fridays. Captain Joe returns on Saturday with a steamed shrimp combo special. On Sundays, enjoy a Bloody Mary or a mimosa on the deck for $2. The specials continue even after happy hour is over, though. Now is the perfect time to enjoy a sunset cruise from the Lighthouse Restaurant.
