According to Butch Nelson of Millsboro Little League, who coordinated the event, approximately 3,200 people attended the festival. Little League and the Millsboro Chamber of Commerce split the proceeds from the entertainment. Although most of the members of the band are from North Carolina, the lead guitarist - Andrew Timmons - is a native of Dagsboro. Clown training offered by Funtastics The Funtastics, a multi-generational group of clowns, is celebrating their fourth anniversary by offering membership and free training to "wannabe" clowns of all ages throughout Sussex County. The Funtastics offer support to a variety of non-profit organizations throughout the county and utilize clown skills to address social issues such as preventing substance abuse and maintaining healthy lifestyles, safety, recycling, and other timely social topics. The event is scheduled for 3 to 6 p.m. Solo or group musicians are welcome, as are comedians, as long as the material is tasteful. Others welcome to enter the com- petition are dancers, magicians, jugglers, etc. There will be cash prizes and the event will be emceed by local band U.T.I. Sound equipment will be provided. In addition to the open mike competition, Labor Day Long Neck Style will feature kids' games and rides, food and drink, crafters and vendors. There will also be a horseshoe contest, prizes and giveaways, Debbie Lind Karaoke and a 50/50 raffle with the winner's name to be drawn at dusk.
