Peninsula Bluegrass hosts Annual qur00:ekside Festival Aug. 15-16 Peninsula Bluegrass, Inc. will host the third Annual Creekside Bluegrass Festival on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 15 and 16 at Lowe's Lake View Campground. The nationally-renowned Wild- wood Girls, an all-female, four- piece band from Seymour, Tenn., will headline the event. The group has toured extensively nationally and overseas with the U.S.O. and the Department of Defense, and they are the official bluegrass band at Dollywood. Other featured bands include The Larkin Family of Church Hill, Tenn., Freddy Clark & The Clark Family (Rocky Mountain, Va.), The Timmons Family (Pittsville, Md.), Flatland Bluegrass (Kent & Sussex counties), and the Eastern Shore Travelers (Salisbury, Md.). Returning to the Creekside fest for the second consecutive year are Jay Armsworthy & Eastern Tradi- tion (California, Md.) and Billy Lee Cox & The Mason-Dixon Grass (Pa.). The shows kick off Friday at 4:30 p.m. and run until midnight. On Saturday, there will be contin- uous entertainment from 11 a.m. to midnight. There will also be a special 10 a.m. gospel show on Sunday, Aug. 16, just down from the campground at the historic Old Christ Church where Freddy Clark & The Clark Family of Rocky Mountain, Va., will pro- vide the music. Ticket prices are: Friday only - $10; Saturday only - $15; both Friday and Saturday, $25. There will be a senior citizen discount and children under 12 are admit- ted free.
