'- 28- CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, AUgust 22 ' August 28, 1997 Jen EIIIngaMorth photo Harbor Healthcare residents learn flower arranging Residents of Harbor Heaithcare in Lewes became amateur floral arrangers on Monday, Aug. 11, when members of Greenleaf Florist paid a visit to teach the basics of their craft. Showing off their creations are (l-r) Jean Beebe, Greenleai's Christina Williams, Florence Maioney, Grace Landmesser, Helen E. McWhorter, Ruth Bryan, Greenleaf owner Linda Williams, Mary Clark and Betty Whitford. Director of Community Relations Sandy Dole said Greenleaf also brings flowers each week to Harbor Healthcare residents. She said volunteers are always needed at Harbor Health, and anyone interested in donating their time or services should call her at 645-4664. Bike rodeo and helmet giveaway set for Sussex Aug. 27 Children ages five and older are invited to take part in a Bike Rodeo on Wednesday, Aug. 27, from 9 a.m. to noon at the George- town Professional Plaza, U.S. 113. Instructors will be on hand to teach the children the proper way to wear a helmet, and many other safety tips will be offered. Chil- dren can receive helmets by giv- ing a small donation (up to $5) to the Bike Helmet Bank. Children who cannot afford a donation will receive a helmet for free. There will be some bicycles available for children who do not own one. Harbor Healthcare celebrates Circus Day The residents of Harbor Healthcare recently held Circus Day in observance of International Clown Week. Resident Gwyneth Moyer, a.k.a. "Gabby," and her great.granddaugh- ter, Elizabeth Touchton, a.k.a. "Lizzie" were on hand to pro- mote the day's activities that were held throughout the facili- ty.
