Huling Cove lists upcoming actmties The Huling Cove CHEER Se- nior Center in Lewes, located on Savannah Road in Lewes, is offer- ing a number of excursions and activities during the month of September. The public is welcome to attend and should call director Sally Johnson at 645-9239 for more information. Dover Downs trip, Wednes- day, Sept. 3. and Wednesday Sept. 24. The cost for this trip is $3.50 and includes bus transportation, all-you-can-eat buffet dinner, scratch-off tickets, and instant winner ticket. Call the Center for departure time. Older American Picnic, Fri- day, Sept. 5. The picnic takes place at Trap Pond State Park and runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The bus will be leaving from Huling Cove, and the cost is $1.50. Call the Center to sign up. Lecture, Tuesday, Sept. 9. Nu- tritionist Beth Jernigan will speak on "Enhancing Food Flavor with Herbs and Spices," at 10:30 a.m. Lunch donation is $1.50. Trip to NASA Space Center at Wallops Island, Va., Thursday, Sept. 11. After visiting the Space Center, the tour will stop at As- sateague Island. The trip also in- cludes a cruise on the Potomac River at Snow Hill. Call the Cen- ter for details. Trip to Midway Slots at Har- rington, Tuesday(s) Sept. 16 and 23. The cost for this trip is $3.50 and includes bus transportation, all-you-can-eat buffet. Call the Center for departure times. Lecture, Wednesday, Sept. 17. Sue McKinney, Milford Hospital Jim EIIIngsworth photo Delaware National displays Davis photos The photography of Mark Davis will be on display at the Delaware National Bank on Route 1 and Church Street in Re- hoboth Beach until mid-September. Davis, shown here with Delaware National Branch Manager Adrianne R. Moore, is a member of the Professional Photographers of America, Inc. Davis often shoots while traveling, and his photos on display include vistas in New Hampshire, Ireland and the Nether- lands. R.N. will present a lecture on "Stress" at 10 a.m. Lunch dona- tion is $1.50. Defensive Driving class, Tues- day and Wednesday, Sept. 23 and 24. The cost for this AARP class is $8 per person, and is designed for people age 50 and over. Success- ful completion of the class allows participants to reduce the liability portio n of their auto insurance. The class is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days. Lunch is $1.50 each day. Matinee and lunch, Tuesday, Sept. 30. Huling Cove will host a trip to the New American Music Theatre in Lancaster, Pa., which will present "Broadway to Bran- son." Call the Center for details.
