While known as a hit man, Carneglia had a soft spot for his Authorities also suspected he took part in the killing of a New York City court officer, a crime for which he wasn't found re- sponsible by the jury. Prosecu- tors alleged that he used acid to dispose of bodies and torture people. One of the last of Gotti's old crew, Carneglia is now spending the rest of his life in federal prison. American Legion Auxiliary Post 28 to hold Sept. 11 Day o Remembrance The American Legion Auxil- iary and the American Legion Post 28 will commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks with two special programs at the post in Millsboro. At 11 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 11, the post family will honor those who lost their lives as it actively par- ticipates in the National Day of Service and Remembrance en- acted into law in 2009. The morning will be marked with remembrances of loved ones and stories of heroism and caring that umted a country an shOck. There will be a wreath laying with the Post Color Guard and Legion Riders. At 7 p.m., the AuXiliary will hold a Candlelight Vigil and the Auxiliary Chorus will provide patriotic songs; local Auxiliary presidents will provide readings in remembrance. The Auxiliary and post family have been selected as finalists in the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance 10th Anniversary Challenge. The Corporation for National and Community Service has chal- lenged organizations to bring Americans together in the same spirit of compassion, unity and service as seen by so many after the 9/11 attacks.
