SUNDANCE99 coming to Rehoboth The twelfth annual Sundanee, which benefits Sussex Coun- ty AIDS Committee and Camp Rehoboth, will be held Labor Day Weekend at'the Rehobeth Beach Convention Center, Re- hobeth Beach. This year's party, Rainbow Renaissance Sun. dance '99, begins Saturday, Sept. 4, with the Sundance Auc- tion from 7 to 10 p.m., featuring a silent and live auction, a cocktail buffet with food provided by the Blue Moon Restau- rant and an open bar. On Sunday, Sept. 5, it's dancing from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., with an open bar all night. Music will be pro- vided by Mark Thomas, and Kurt Wunseh will handle the Hghts. Tickets for Sundance "99 are $50 for beth events or $35 for each individual event. Tickets are available in advance through Box Office Tickets Inc. at 800-494-TIXS, and at Camp Rehoboth at 227-5620. I CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, August 27 - September 2, 1999 - 77 Possum Point Players, Miss Delaware Pageant to partner on stage Sept. 25 Possum Point Players and the Miss Delaware Scholarship Orga- nization have joined forces with a plan to let the stars shine in newly renovated Possum Hall. On Sat- urday, Sept. 25, "A Night of Stars" will showcase a lineup of talent presented by several former Miss Delawares, Miss Delaware contestants and well-known per- formers of the Possum stage. The evening is a fundraiser for the two non-profit organizations. Director and performer Kenney Workman is assembling a cabaret show that will feature Miss Delaware 1999 Kama Boland along with a host of singers, mu- sicians and dancers. "I am very excited to have the opportunity to combine the tal- ents of these extraordinary organ- izations. We already have six for- mer Miss Delawares committed to appear with the possibility of more joining us. Add to them sev- eral Miss Delaware contestants and the best of the best of Possum Point Players, and I think that this event is a 'must see.' The enter- tainment will be very exciting."
