This year I drank some of the best red wines that I have ever tasted. The fn'st two wines are sadly no longer available in the store. First, a Spanish wine made by Barahonda called Bellum (2003) from 100% old vine Mourvedre. If you like big, bold, velvety and luscious reds, then seek this wine out in your travels. Besides being one of the best wines that I have ever tasted, it was only $16! Wines From South Africa South African Viney,ards Special Wines Sauvignon Blanc Chateau Turcaud Taste a beautiful white Bordeaux. Aromatic and crisp. $16 Proecco Bele Casel This 2000 year old grape is made into a perfect M6thode champenoise extra dry sparkler. $15 Chenin Blanc Francois Chidaine The best winemaker in the Loire Valley producing sophisticated wines. $23 Featured South African Wines i ...... . The Fairvalley Workers Association, ffounded in 1997, was set up by the employees of Fairview Wine and Ch.ese Estate in order to develop and manage their own property. Initial fumding, which went to purchase a 38 acre farm adjacent to Fairview, was lrovided equally by Charles Back, owner of Fairview, and the South . African government. Subsequent funding for the development of homtes and eventual conslruction of a wine cellar is being arranged through commereial activities. Fairvalley Chenin Blanc - $10 An unoaked wine offering charming tropical fruit nottes with a hint of pear flavor. Pleasingly rounded with pineapple/melon hints on th,e finish makes this a cheerful easy drinking, dry quaffer! Pinot Noir Paul Cluver Cluver is making great wines. This complex pinot is worth tasting. Dolcetto Germano Ettore Deeply-colored, ripe aromatics fruity and spicy. $16 1997 Super Tuscan Torraccia Di Presura A perfect cabemet sangiovese blend from the historic 1997 vintage. FairvaHey Pinnotage - $10 A lightly oaked wine, vibrant purple/red in color, layered with sweet plum and berry notes. Spicy black fruit and ripe soft tannins play out on the finish. Made in a bright, modern style. The 2002 Quilceda Creek Cabernet from Washington is an amazing wine. The perfect balance and extremely long fmish made me want to drink a second bottle. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate rated this wine at 100 points and ] would say it is pretty darn close to perfect. !yiiiMii,,iii ............................. i,i:i::?:::,  iiii!i Teller Wines & Spirits is an independently owned package store that carries wine, beer and spirits. This is an amazingly rich wine with incredible complexity. I would drink this wine every day if my last name was Gates or Walton. Teller Wines has both theHarlan and Harlan's Bond in stock. The fmal splurge wine is a beautiful Chianti from Poggio [iii .iiiili A1 Sole called 'Casasilia', one |!i of the greatest vineyards in iiiii Italy. This is a must try at only $35. Limited supply.
