44- CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, September 2 - September 8, 1994 Lynch teaching watercolor classes at Convalescent Center in Lewes Sussex County artists Lydia Bell Lynch is overseeing the wa- tercolor activities at Lewes Con- valescent Center. During one ses- sion, each resident selected a fa- vorite color and dabbled it on a large white sheet. Lynch then took over and, with a few strokes of the brush, a floral arrangement appeared. It is now hanging in the Skilled Living Room and has been titled "the Painting that Love Created." Lynch is also exhibiting a collec- tion of beach memories and floral watercolors on the walls at Jerry's American Cafe on Second Street in Lewes. Lynch, famous for her use of color and design, is a charter member of the Cape Artists and is active in the Rehoboth Art League where she recently won third prize in the RAL Members' Show. She also will be teaching classes at the RAL this September. Lynch has been able to capture the feeling of the shore and dunes, as well as the delicate beauty of hibiscus and other garden flowers of the summer. This fall, at the annual Coast Day celebration, Lynch will do- nate a beach scene to be raffled off with the proceeds benefiting the Children's Beach House.
