Submltted photo Coastal Concerts officers plan miniseries Officers and directors of the recently incorporated Coastal Concerts Inc., are shown happi- ly reviewing their new nonprofit status designation received from the IRS. The group, a spin- off of the popular Concerts at the Beach concert series, is planning its Millennium 2000 cham- ber music series. Four concerts at selected Lewes venues are being organized for the year 2000. Shown (l-r) are Betsy Reamer, treasurer, Bill Sharkey, director, Lou Braithwaite, presi- dent; Rick Bell of Harvard Business Services Inc., who assisted the group with its incorpora- tion; Gary Grunder, secretary; and Tom Tibbetts, director. Sponsors, vendors sought for PNC Grand Prix The seventh annual PNC Grand Prix, organized by the Greater Milford Chamber of Commerce and Chestertown Raceway, will be held Oct. 9-10 at the Milford Village Shopping Center. Many area businesses have signed on as sponsors of the race, including Bert's Mobile Seafood, which has become a checkered flag sponsor, as well as Dentsply Caulk and Walmart, who will be trophy sponsors for the race. These companies are in addition to those which have already come "on board, including the following: PNC Bank, the main event spon- sor; I.G. Burton & Co., Clariant- Master Batches Division, Corn- cast Cablevision of Delmarva, GT Machine, Hertrich's of Milford and Mohawk Plastic Products Inc., all checkered flag sponsors; Ace Hardware, Advance Auto Parts, Advanced Restoration Technologies, Baltimore Air Coil, Geyer's Restaurant and Shirey's Auto Sales Too Inc., as trophy sponsors. The Grand Prix is the only black-top street race held on the Eastern Shore for go-carts. At least 100 carts will compete in various categories in 15 class races. The Rodney J. Harrington Memorial Race, sponsored by Harrington Equipment Company, will again be featured this year. Vendors are also needed for the event. Companies involved in any facet of the racing industry are in- vited to participate. Sponsor packages are also still available, including team, check- ered flag and trophy packages, starting as low as $50. The fee for vendors is $50, which include both days of the event.
