Briefly Shields PTA to hold benefit auction Oct. 4 The Shields Elementary School PTA will hold an auction to bene- fit programs for Shields students at 1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 4. Items to be auctioned include antiques, art, jewelry, crafts, gift certificates and donations from lo- cal businesses, retired Beanie Ba- bies, household items and much more. There will also be silent and Chinese auctions, 50/50 raffles, baked goods sale and more. Group to practice speaking German A group of people in the Cape Region is starting a group to prac- tice speaking German and work- ing on German grammar. Pritchett is Xi Sigma 'Girl of the Year' Kris Pritchett of Milton has been selected as Beta Sigma Phi- Xi Sigma chap- ter's "Girl of the Year." Pritchett has been a member of the organiza- tion since 1983 and has held various offices PRITCHETT within Xi Sigma. Pritchett and her husband, Bill, have been mar- ried for 27 years and have two daughters, Wendy and Lenna. She has worked for the Delaware State Supreme Court as a judicial secre- tary for 12 years. In her spare time, Pritchett enjoys tennis, snow skiing and crafting. The purpose of the program, now in its 12th year, is to provide funding for special classroom pro- jects that teach students about en- ergy and the environment.
