Cyclonic Golf offers a new generation of athletic footwear By Jim Cresson As the rest of us duffers hack away the final months of the 20th century, the people at Cyclonic Golf in Rehoboth Beach have cre- ated a product that is being re- ferred to nationally as "the dawn of a new age" in golfing - a purely gpikeless golf shoe. Traditional spiked shoes worn by golfers for all of this century were more than just a threat to sod and turf, Mashooqullah explains, they were also designed with a hard, narrow toe box that cramped the wearer's feet and prevented the golfer from using his toes in a swing. The Cyclonic shoe line has a widetoe box that allows ample room for toe movement, and its molded rubber soles have" 136 spikes and treads that grab and hold on any surface. The spike and tread pattern on the left shoes is different than the pattern on the right shoe. Both these shoe-design features were meant to enhance a golfer's game. And Mashooqullah says many golfers have tried the new shoe and given it a thumbs- up review.
