Chocolate festival slated Oct. 16 Steppin&apos; Out Continued from page 28 that morning between 7 and 9 a.m. Following the judging, the public will be able to taste the entries through the purchase of "taste rickets" at 50 cents each. Prizes include: one-third of a page of free advertising in "Delaware Today" magazine for the chosen restaurant; $200 donat- ed by Grotto Pizza for the winning professional chef; one week free stay compliments of the Board- walk Plaza Hotel for the winning adult amateur cook; and a $150 gift certificate towards a bicycle donated by Wheels for the win- ning child. According to chairper- son Priscilla Smith, advance regis- tration is not necessary, but it is helpful for the organizers if entrants can let them know in advance what type of baked good they plan to bring. Entry forms for the contest are available at JOSS, 27 Baltimore Avenue; Ibach's Candy by the Sea, 23A Rehoboth Avenue; Sny- der's, 69 Rehoboth Avenue; McDonald's, Rehoboth Avenue; and Rehoboth Beach City Hall, 229 Rehoboth Avenue. Return completed forms to Rehoboth Beach City Hall, or mail them to: Chocolate Festival, P.O. Box C, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971; or bring them with your entry on the day of the event. Spectator admission is $I, and includes one taste. Extra tastes may be purchased for 50 cents each. Children under five are admitted free. In addition to exhibits and tastings there will be games and a "Decorate a Cup Cake" event for children.
