32 - CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, October 8 - October 14, 1993 Classical vocalists to perform Oct. 20 Classical vocalists Winthrop Buswell and Diane LaSala will perform "songs of travel about places to be with wonderful joy and occasional heartbreak" on Wednesday, Oct. 20, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Rehoboth Art League, 12 Dodds Lane, Hen- lopen Acres, Rehoboth Beach. An exhibit of Buswell's current watercolor paintings of varied scenes such as houses, railroads and high seas also will be part of the afternoon's festivities. Admission to the performance is $5 per person. BusweU, a baritone, is a cele- brated and widely traveled vocal- ist who will debut at Carnegie Hall in New York City on June 2, 1994. LaSala studied opera at the State University of New York at Purchase and the Masterworks Repertory Theatre in Manhatten. She has performed leading opera roles in La Traviata, Madame Butterfly, Hansel and Gretel, Lucia Di Lammermoor and Carmen. Zwaanendael women to host 'fall fest' The Zwaanendael Women's Club will host its third annual "Fall Fest" this Saturday, Oct. 9, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the clubhouse located on Third Street and Savannah Road in Lewes. In case of rain, tables will be moved inside the clubhouse. Items for sale include baked goods, crafts, jewelry, toys and games, cookbooks, books, a variety of glass- ware, home-canned goods and a white elephant table.
