"As an added bonus at the Pine Hol- low, guests will have the opportu- nity to participate in a wreath and bow-making demonstration." Southern Delaware, located on- ly two hours from Washington, D.C., Baltimore and Philadelphia and just 70 minutes from Southern New Jersey via the Cape May- Lewes Ferry, is abundant with places to stay, shop tax-free and eat during October, November, and December. "We've found that the fall season through the Christ- mas holiday is a favorite time to visit the resort area," Small said. "They get the bonus of a visit- ing a beach resort area during our less-crowded time, and take ad- vantage of off-season lodging rates. And it's perfect for holiday shopping with many retailers re- maining open, including 140- brand name outlet stores in Re- Wake up in a comfy, relaxed at- mosphere and smell the aroma of fresh-cut Christmas trees, eat a hearty home-cooked country breakfast, then head to 140 tax- free outlet shops just minutes away, all at off-season prices, when you visit scenic Southern Delaware during the "Hollydays." To help plan a visit, an off-season travel guide is available free of charge. "This is only one example of the customer-focused packages our lodging industry has created to welcome visitors back to our area during the fall and holiday season," said Cynthia S. Small, executive director of Southern Delaware Tourism, sponsors of the Hollydays promotion. "One of our accommodations, the Pine Hollow House Bed and Breakfast, is located in the midst of a Christmas tree farm," said Small, "just minutes from Delaware's beach resorts." The AmericInn, located in Re- hoboth Beach, encourages guests to extend their visit by offering a third night's stay at half-price. The AmericInn features an indoor pool, continental breakfast, and some rooms with fireplaces and jacuzzis.
