Obituaries Theresa Lynn Davis, medical assistant Theresa Lynn Davis, 26, of Laurel, Md., died Monday, Oct. 13, 1997, at home. Ms. Davis attended Prince George's Community College and was employed as a medical assis- tant. Ms. Davis was preceded in death by a brother, Michael, in 1978. She is survived by a son, Con- nor N. and a daughter, Clara N., both of Laurel, Md.; her parents, Gordon and Kathleen Clark Davis; her children's father, Ed- win Carrasquillo of Hyattsville, Md.; three brothers, Matthew R. Davis of Laurel, Md., Brandon R. Davis and William R. Clark of Rehoboth Beach; five sisters, Traci L. Davis of Berwyn Heights, Md., Tammy L. Kelley of College Park, Md., Deanna E. Bryson of Lawton, Okla., Kathryn M. Davis and Sherry L. Davis of Rehoboth Beach; her maternal grandmother, Bernice E. Clark of Port Charlotte, Fla., her paternal grandparents, Leonard R. and Valma E. Davis, of Richmond, N.H.; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be held Friday, Oct. 17, at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Latter-day Saints, 3790 East-West Highway, Hyattsville, Md. Visitation is one hour prior. Funeral arrangements by The Donaldson Funeral Home, Laurel, Md. Hugh Powell Smith, trust officer Hugh Powell Smith, 82, of Georgetown, died Friday, Oct. 10, 1997, at Harrison House, George- town. Mr. Smith was a graduate of Goldey Beacom Business College and worked for the Georgetown Trust and Wilmington Trust Banks for 34 years, retiring as a trust officer for Wilmington Trust. Mr. Smith was a Field Artillery Staff Sergeant from 1942-45. He was past commander of Sussex County American Legion Post 8, Georgetown; a member of the Civil Defense; past treasurer of the Salvation Army and a 32nd degree Mason, Franklin Lodge, Georgetown. Mr. Smith was also a Planning and Zoning Commis- sioner for 18 years. He was active in Adult Plus+ at Delaware Tech- nical & Community College in Georgetown. He was active in studying and promoting historical records and artifacts of Sussex County and was instrumental in the preservation of the Old Sussex County Courthouse. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 56 years, Louise Calhoun Smith; a daughter, Barbara Smith- Savage of Sandy Beach; a son, Rodney, of Falls Church, Va.; a brother Ross of Delmar, Md., and four grandchildren. Graveside services were held at Union Cemetery in Georgetown. Contributions are suggested to the Sussex County Post 8 Ameri- can Legion. Bunting, 74, of Millsboro, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 1997, of a cerebral hemorrhage at home. Mrs. Bunting retired from Beebe Medical Center after 20 years as a nurse's aide. She was a member of the Millsboro VFW Auxiliary Post 7422. She is survived by her husband, Joseph H. Bunting; a daughter, Brenda Linkerhof of Millsboro; five grandsons and a great-grand- son. Funeral services were held in the chapel of Melson Funeral Ser- vices, Long Neck, with burial in Millsboro Cemetery, Millsboro. Funeral arrangements by Mel- son Funeral Services, Long Neck. Henry T. Yohe, fruit grower Henry T. Yohe, 83, of Rehoboth Beach, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 1997, of heart failure at Harbor Healthcare Center, Lewes. Mr. Yohe and his father had been in the fruit growing business for 50 years in the Spring Grove, Pa., area before retiring to Delaware in 1977. He was presi- dent of the York County fruit growers' association and a direc-- tot in the Kouse Foods Co-Op in Adams County, Pa. He was past president of and ac- tive in the Milford Stamp Club. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Treva Firebaugh Yohe; and a daughter, Genevie C. Beach of Rehoboth Beach; a sister, Henriet- ta Kellenberger; and a brother, Luther Yohe of Spring Grove, Pa.; four grandchildren, John, Linda, and Jay Beach of Lewes and Jay Beach of Huntsville, Ala.; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. at Harrington Baptist Church, 111 East Liberty Street, Harrington, with burial private. "Chesapeake Smit- ty" Smith, 84, of Brookhaven, Pa., died Thursday, Oct. 9, 1997, of heart failure at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadel- phia. Mr. Smith was an operating en- gineer for the International Union of Engineers Local 542 in Red Li- on for 31 years, retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Walling- ford (Pa.)
