Accompanied by an adjacent decorator's showroom, Compass Rose offers a unique and complete line of nautical gifts such as light- houses, marine-life sculptures, buoy bells, stained glass, sun catchers, puzzles, tide clocks and weather instruments. Proprietors Frank and Heather Cassidy have transferred their love of the sea to their business. The couple, who moved to the Cape Region a few years ago from the Philadelphia area, has even constructed a wooden pier on which many of the lighthouses are displayed. "When we moved down here and were looking for nautical things, we couldn't find any- thing," said Frank. "That's when we decided to open the store." Their ensemble of gifts and ac- cessories includes hundreds of different lighthouses. The popular Scaasis collection features 130 ex- act replicas of American light- houses in its line. The store also features the Open Windows and Cheryl Spencer Collin Lighthouse Collections, among others. The shop isn't limited to light- houses, though. There are also other collections featuring fisher- men, pirates, waterfowl and ma- rine life, each handcrafted using various media.
