Your jazz festival experience won't be complete without a visit to Woody's Complement your Autumn Jazz '97 experience with a visit to Woody's Bistro, located on Christian Street in Rehoboth Beach• Not only is the establishment a premiere venue for jazz entertainment, but also a prime place to enjoy dinner in its casual and intimate setting• The restaurant offers some of the most warm and roman- tic garden dining of any establishment in the area, as well as seating on the light and airy upbeat porch land seating at one of the highly perched cocktail tables at the inside dining area. The establishment has a special New Orleans- inspired menu slated for the weekend-long festival, and a stellar lineup of entertainment to complement its cuisine. The special menu, in effect on Friday and Satur- day, Oct. 17-18, features several tantalizing gourmet" creations• Among the sumptuous offerings is grilled bison strip loin with a port wine demiglaze, accompanied by mashed potatoes and Nadine's smokehouse ham and collard greens; and grilled quail stuffed with a wild mushroom ducell, served with sweet potatoes au gratin, Okra and red onion fritters and a black berry bordelaise. There's also palenta-crushed cat- fish with a Creole-crayfish sauce with okra and red onion fritters and Miss Lucy's black kettle black- eyed peas and hush puppies; and blackened redfish with a berry chutney, accompanied by Miss Lucy's black ketde black-eyed peas and Nadine's smoke- house ham and collard greens and hush puppies. Woody's will also feature a black peppercorn- crusted veal rack chop, slow-roasted in rosemary/Jack Daniel's au jus with caramelized onions, sweet potato au gratin and corn fritters, and a grilled half Cajun chicken with a jalepefio barbe- cue sauce, Sally Mac's shoepeg corn fritters, sweet potato au gratin, and blackened jumbo lump crab cakes seasoned with a mild garlic sauce. You won't want to end your experience with din- net, though. You'll want to end your meal with one of Woody's homemade dessert selections and a cap- puccino, espresso or cordial. To further enhance your dining experience this jazz festival, enjoy the sounds of Eclypse, featuring local vocalist Peggy Raley, on both Friday and Sat- urday nights, Oct. 17-18. A jazz brunch will be hosted by Woody's on Sun- day, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Woody's Bar and Grill: 2 Christian Street within the Dinner Bell Inn in Rehoboth Beach.
