Friends 'N Quilting event set Oct. 20.21 at Milford Senior Center Many people feel that quilting is a dying.art, but don't tell that to the four area quilt guilds. The Delmarvelous Quilters of George- town. the Helping Hands Quilt Guild of Dover. the Ocean Waves Quilt Guild of Rehoboth and the Piecemakers Quilting Guild of Milford have joined their talents to present Friends 'N" Quilting, Oct 20 and 21 at the Milford Se- nior Center. The Kent/Sussex quilt show will feature more than 200 items which will include quilts, wall hangings, dolls and garments made by Delaware's finest quil- ters. There will also be door prizes, a full schedule of demon- strations, a country store featuring guild members' works, a minia- ture silent auction, shopping with local vendors and a special guest, certified quilt appraiser Phyllis Twigg, who will be on hand Sat- urday only. Tickets to the quilt show are $3. Food will also be available for purchase. Raffle tickets may be purchased from all'four quilt guilds for prizes of several different quilts and wall hangings. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5. The drawing will be Saturday, Oct. 21. Winners need not be present.
