Junior showmanship is for young persons showing their own dogs and is judged purely on the merits of the handler, not on the quality of the dog. Added attrac- tions at the event will be a raffle of dog-related items, a public educa- tion booth, and vendors selling supplies, food, art and jewelry. Admission is $2 for adults; children under 12 are admitted free. They are preparing for the upcoming Mispillion Kennel Club Dog Show in Salisbury, Md. LMS students decorate Governor's mansion for Halloween Students from Lewes Middle School have designed a haunted trail through Woodbum, the Governor's mansion, for visitors on Halloween night. The project, which the students have dubbed "Ghosts of the Coast," includes pirates, ghosts, sea witches and sea monsters. The gov- ernor will appear as "Captain Carper," along with his wife, "First Mate" Martha Carper. Miss Delaware, dressed as a mermaid, will also grace the entrance to the mansion, while a second mermaid, Megan Dean, a student at Cape Henlopen High School, will surprise guests as. they leave. Jarred Melson, also a student at Cape, will appear as Mr. Hill- yard, the legendary ghost of Woodbum. Shields Elementary School stu- dents Brett and Brittany Morris will also help to haunt the premises. Completing the frightening scene are principals Peg Menear and Bill Lane, who, as the resident sea witch and pirate, will also stalk the halls of the mansion. The Lewes Middle School students who participated in the project are from the classes of Cindy Cunningham, Sue Hall, Mary Ellen Morris, Colleen Lowe and Judy Melson.
